Olivia Valkenberg just finished the Research Master in Literary Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Her main interests are in the areas of interdisciplinary studies, comparative literature and art criticism. Her Master thesis “Lines between Art and Literature” was written under the supervision of Dr. Carrol Clarkson.

Vadim Dijkshoor is currently doing an internship at a literary magazine called ‘Terras’, which focuses on international literature. He is also writing for ‘Babel’, the student newspaper of the Faculty of Humanities. During the next academic year he will be writing his thesis, probably in the scope of Literature and Medicine/ Literature and Psychiatry.

Ruby de Vos hopes to finish her RMA Literary Studies in September 2016, when she will also start her second MA in Comparative Cultural Analysis. Her main research interests include intersectional feminism, literary theory, the personal, and failure and imperfection.

María del Castillo Sánchez Sánchez is interested in projects related to Postmodernity. In both of the degrees, she has had the opportunity of exploring those literary and artistic manifestations that show the perspectives of those who have been traditionally considered voiceless.

Mark McDaid is currently staring down the tunnel towards the end of his Research Master in Literary Studies. His interests include contemporary Irish, British and American literature alongside a lingering obsession with Fernando Pessoa and David Foster Wallace.
